1.    Introduction


This website (, related mobile-sites and software applications (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Website’) is owned and operated by MK APPAREL PTY LTD (hereinafter referred to as ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘our’ ‘Softy Home’, ‘the Supplier’ and/or ‘Softy Home’), a retailer and wholesale of furniture,Textiles, Home furnishing , homeware and decor and related products,


The disclaimers, policies and terms and conditions on this page (hereinafter referred to as ‘Terms’ and/or ‘Conditions’) shall govern the order, sale and/or delivery of goods or services from Softy Home as well as the use of this website by any customer or person (hereinafter referred to as ‘you’, ‘your’, ‘user’, ‘customer’).


The Terms apply to all users/customers/visitors of our website or of any Softy Home store (regardless of whether such store may be owned by a third-party agent or franchisee).


If you access and use this website, you accept and agree to be bound by and comply with the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions contained herein, you are not authorised to access our website, use any of our website’s services or place an order on our website.

2.    Waiver

2.1Any failure on our part to exercise or enforce any right or provision of any of our terms and conditions set out will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver by us of any default will not constitute a waiver of any subsequent default.  No waiver by us is effective unless it is communicated to you in writing.

3.    Severability


If any of the provisions of our terms or condition are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, such provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining Terms, which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4 . Variation


Softy Home may, at its sole discretion, change or amend any of these terms, conditions or policies without notification and it is the user’s responsibility to ensure that he or she is satisfied with the terms and any amendments that may have been affected.


Using the website after any amendments have been made shall deem your acceptance of such changes. Should you not agree with any of the terms or amendments made you should not proceed to transact with us either in-store or on through this website.

5.    5. Errors, Omissions and Product Descriptions


While all reasonable effort is made to provide accurate information about products (including pricing, availability, features and descriptions), we do not accept liability and shall not be held liable for any loss or claim as a result of such error or inaccuracy. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time, without prior notice, including after an order has been submitted in which case, where the correction is significant, we will take all reasonable effort to inform affected customers.


Product descriptions are for marketing purposes only and are presented in a simple easy-to-understand format.  Product descriptions on this website are by no means exhaustive technical information sheets. Some terms may be used in a broad sense or for specific purposes only.


Colour Descriptions: Descriptions and depictions of colour may not be 100% accurate. Some colours, especially earthy tones are especially difficult to accurately describe and/or depict. Although our photographers and graphic designers do their best to portray items as accurate as possible, various factors may influence the colour displayed on the screen including monitor and screen calibration. Colour descriptions do not describe the actual material of the product (e.g. wooden items described as ‘mahogany’ in colour, does not infer the wood is actual mahogany).


Materials:  Where a product description describes a product to be manufactured from a specific material such as ‘solid wood’ or ‘aluminium,’ this only refers to the most notable aspect of the product, and does not necessarily imply that every single part of the product is manufactured from this material. For example, items described to be manufactured from solid wood may feature some other materials, e.g., knobs of steel, interior panels or drawer bottoms from plywood or MDF.  Descriptions such as ‘synthetic leather’ or ‘leatherette’ could, for example, refer to various materials including PU or PVC. Where broad terms are used, such as, but not limited to ‘wood,’ this may cover various forms of wood, including solid woods, veneers, MDF, etc. The same shall apply to other materials.

6.    Pricing & Stock


All prices advertised on our website includes VAT of 15%.


Prices published on the website applies to in-stock products only. In the event where a specific product may be sold out, and a customer places an order or enquiry before a price, specification or promotion could be updated, we will first inform the customer of any changes before processing the order. Should this not be accepted by the customer we reserve the right to cancel the order or any part thereof.


While most items listed on this website are in-stock, there may be occasions where items are temporarily out of stock.


The current pricing model on this website follows that of Recommended Selling Price (RRP) and the current Softy Home promotion price where applicable. MK APPAREL PTY LTD (SOFTY HOME) is a company which is an importer, manufacturer, and wholesaler of homeware furniture. Softy Home sets specific recommended retail prices on all products for any retailers whom it supplies. Individual retailers may, however, sell products at the price of their choice. Where prices on this website are crossed out, this refers to the recommended retail price and not necessarily the price it was listed or sold for at any previous point in time.

7.Delivery and Inspection of Goods


Prices advertised on this website shall exclude delivery charges unless otherwise specified.


No orders shall be dispatched until payment has cleared in our account.


Depending on the size of the order and the exact delivery location, our standard delivery period is approximately 5-10 days from the date of payment unless specified otherwise on the product pages.  Longer delivery periods may be applicable for orders placed during or leading up to the festive season ( such as 15 November to 31 December), such delivery timelines to be published the website and/or by communicated by stores or sales consultants during this time.


Depending on factors such as order size or delivery location our standard delivery timeframe shall be approximately 5-7 days for non-furniture orders (e.g. bedding, rugs or décor) and 7-14 days for furniture orders. Delivery timeframes shall be calculated from date of payment. Longer delivery periods may be applicable for orders placed during or leading up to the festive season (15 November to 31 December) and will be published on our website and/or by communicated by stores or sales consultants during this time.


Delivery fees include delivery to most towns and cities in South Africa only. In some cases, couriers may require a surcharge to deliver to areas considered to be remote or high-risk. Should this be the case, the customer shall be contacted to discuss surcharges or alternative delivery options. Should an agreement not be reached between ourselves and the customer, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the customer in full.


It shall be the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect delivered goods. If packaging shows visible damages, it is advised to make a clear note of such damages on the waybill when signing for the goods.


Due to size and nature, some products may be supplied and delivered in a knockdown format and require self-assembly.   Under the product specifications section for each item listed on the website the assembly requirements of each product are listed and classified as either being delivered assembled, or alternatively requiring partial or full assembly.


Customers should ensure that the correct number of cartons as indicated on the waybill is received before signing the waybill. The number of cartons may not correspond to the number of items you have purchased as more than one item may be packaged in a single carton. The number of packages/cartons/pieces as indicated on the waybill should be verified by the customer or his representative before signing the receipt of the goods. Customers should never sign as having received more packages as what was delivered as this could jeopardise claims of liability against the courier and may result in the loss being for the customer’s own account.


Delivery is only guaranteed to be delivered to the delivery address supplied by the customer. Verification of the identity of the person receiving goods cannot be done. Individuals accepting the goods at the delivery address on the date of delivery shall be considered authorised by the customer to receive delivery on their behalf, and shall also be responsible to perform the duties of checking for damages or shortages as per clauses 7.4 and 7.6 above.


Any discrepancies, damages or shortages on any delivery must be reported to us within 48 hours from time of delivery by submitting this claim to the salesman responsible for the sale. If the report was successfully submitted, a message will be sent to the customer notifying them about receiving the report.

8.    Return Policy.


Unless otherwise specified, all items purchased from Softy Home comes with a 7-day money-back satisfaction guarantee. Orders placed for return after the 7-day money-back guarantee are subjected to a 10% delivery fee and a further 10% return handling fee.


Customers wanting to return any product must submit a notice of return through the Softy Home salesperson or the Softy Home customer care number.


Transport charges for products returned for refund under the 14-day money-back guarantee shall be borne by Softy Home and only apply to purchases delivered by Softy Home or it’s contracted delivery service providers. Original delivery charges paid by the customer shall not be refunded. Orders collected by the customer must be returned by the customer at own cost to Softy Home’s nearest warehouse.


Only where the product was collected from a store may a return be done to the specific store. Products ordered online may not be returned to a Softy Home retail store.


Products returned must be adequately packaged in the original packaging and be in as-new condition. Where original packaging was discarded, it shall be the customer’s responsibility to ensure the item is packaged adequately to avoid damage in transit. Our contracted third-party couriers do not offer packaging services and may refuse to accept products without adequate packaging. In the event where our transporters collect an item not packaged properly, or where they assisted the client with packaging, this shall be done at the customer’s own risk. It is advised that customers take adequate photos of the products they wish to return (covering all areas and angles) as Softy Home will keep the customer liable for any damages to the product when received.


Items returned without original packaging materials may be subject to the deduction of reasonable surcharges of up to 15% of the purchase price.


Items returned for refund shall be inspected thoroughly for damages or other discrepancies. Softy Home reserves the right to levy reasonable and appropriate surcharges or handling fees to compensate for missing components or items returned not in good condition.


Refunds may take up to 14 (fourteen) days from date of receipt of returned goods, subject to the return meeting the criteria for a refund. Where Softy Home has determined deductions or surcharges to be deducted from the refund, such amounts shall be communicated to the customer and only after agreement on the final refund amount has been reached will refunds be processed for payment.

9.    Warranty.


Unless otherwise specified for specific products, the default warranty on all products sold by Softy Home shall be that of ** (**) months.


This warranty covers manufacturing defects and subject to the terms of the relevant manufacturer where applicable. Longer warranties or any extended warranties shall only be valid where this was explicitly agreed to by means of a formal written letter signed by a duly authorised representative of Softy Home.


This warranty only covers products within the borders of South Africa. Any product taken outside of South Africa must be returned to South Africa at the customer’s cost in the event of any warranty claims.


Product warranties extends to the original purchaser only and not transferrable with the sale or donation of the product to a third party.


Warranties shall be valid only where the product was used and maintained properly and shall not cover any defects, damages or claims arising from any misuse or abuse, external causes or what can be considered fair wear and tear. Unless otherwise stated, no product shall be covered against any corrosion or damages caused by natural elements (i.e. rust, wind etc.). Warranty claims shall not be processed where products are in an unhygienic state. Natural variation occurring in wood or other materials are not considered defects, neither does the manufacturer guarantee the colour-fastness of any material. Natural products including but not limited to products such as leathers, feathers, wood and animal hides may have natural defects and subject to natural changes (e.g. full-grain leathers will have inconsistent grains, cowhides may lose hair). This warranty explicitly excludes any natural changes or decline to such products. This warranty shall also not cover any consequential damages, losses or claims of any kind.


While some products may be suitable for commercial purposes, all products listed on this website is intended, priced, and marketed for domestic use only.


We reserve the right to either repair or exchange an item submitted for warranty purposes. In the event where the item cannot be repaired, it may be exchanged with a replacement item that is identical, or where the exact same model or product is no longer available, with an item of similar value, or alternatively with in-store credit.    Any approved exchange, credit or refund of a particular product shall apply to that product only and not any other products purchased from us at the same or at another time, regardless of whether the other items were purchased to match or compliment this product. Where an item was replaced or repaired under warranty, the balance of the original warranty period shall remain in place and the repaired or replaced product does not come with a new warranty, (E.g. if an item with a12 month warranty is replaced in month 10, the product shall only be covered for a further 2 months and shall not be issued with a new12 month warranty.

10.                     10. Competitions and Giveaways


Results for competitions and lucky draws shall be announced on Softy Home’s official Social Media Accounts on the date published of the competition’s literature. In the event where, due to technical or other difficulties, we were unable to announce the winner on the published announcement date, Softy Home reserves the right to announce the results within a period of up to 7 (seven) days thereafter.


Unless otherwise specified, winners shall not be contacted directly and as part of the conditions of entry, this is understood and agreed to by the entrant. The winners of all Softy Home competitions and draws, unless otherwise stated, shall be published on Softy Home’s official Social Media pages and entrants should check these pages for the results and claim its prize by following the instructions on the announcement.


Prizes not claimed by winners within 30 (thirty) days of the results announcement, shall be forfeited without exception.


Entering a competition does not guarantee the entrant any prizes. Winners are randomly chosen and announced. Winners are final and entrants do not have the right to appeal the results. By entering any of our competitions, the entrant agrees to these terms.

11.                     11. Special Sales and Promotions (Including Black Friday)


All sales and promotions are valid while stocks last and subject to availability of allocated stock.


Sales and promotions shall only be valid for the period as advertised.


No layby payment plans on sale items will be accepted unless agreed upon by the store manager for a particular product. Payments must be made immediately via Credit Card or EFT to secure the stock. Processing an order on the website does not automatically reserve stock. Stock can only be reserved when payment has been received.


Unless otherwise stated, all prices exclude delivery fees. Delivery fees will be added as per normal upon checkout.

Softy Home accepts three-month layby as payment plans for orders placed through its store.


Laybys will not be accepted for any of the following promotions and sales:  Black Friday promotions, flash sales, priced-to-go sales, headboard clearance sales or any other promotion or sale, where Softy Home explicitly excludes laybys, unless Softy Home agrees to accept lay buy for certain items during the period of promotions


Layby orders cancelled within 14 (fourteen) days from date of order shall be cancelled without any penalty. All other cancellations shall be subject to a cancellation fee of 10% for orders cancelled within 3 (Three) months ( time period of a lay buy.


The price at which the layby order was processed shall be fixed and shall not be increased or decreased, regardless of any permanent or temporary increase or decrease in prices at any future date.


Where laybys are not paid in full within the agreed layby period, being three months, Softy Home reserves the right to levy additional storage charges for each month stock is held in storage for the customer.


Softy Home reserves the right to sell layby stock and/or cancel a layby order where the customer has failed to upkeep layby instalments

14. Images and Multimedia Content


All graphical images including product photos, logos, banners, sound or video clips trademarks and trade names, lay-outs, icons or copy text displayed or incorporated in this website is the property of Softy Home or the brands, associates, suppliers or service providers it represents and is protected by law.  Any unauthorised use, reproduction or distribution thereof is strictly prohibited and may only be done with the express written consent of Softy Home.

15.                     15. Governing Law


Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Terms and Conditions, use of our website, or our products or services offered on our website will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any disputes, actions or proceedings relating to the terms or your access to or use of our website must be brought before the courts of the South Africa in the city of Johannesburg and your irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts our actions as they relate to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information.

An item can be returned if:

1.    The product is undamaged and unused, with the original labels

2.    If the product is still within good condition and in its original packaging, which must be in an undamaged condition ( if applicable )

3.    The item is not missing any pieces/parts or accessories

4.    Goods have been incorrectly supplied.

5.    If products are damaged on delivery. In this case you will be responsible to notify Softy Home within 48 hours of the damages. we will then arrange a replacement for this product.

6.    Goods that are materially defective due to a manufacturing fault

Returns shall be processed as follows:

1.    Returns will be processed for goods purchased on the website or online platform within 7 days of purchase, thereafter any damages is for the customer’s account and not Softy Home

2.    The item will be collected from the customer and delivered back to Softy Home warehouse

3.    The item will then undergo an inspection process, where the team inspects all parts/accessories etc that have been returned.

4.    After the inspection process has been completed, the customer will then be contacted concerning their order and a new item will be dispatched should the customer require a replacement

Returns will NOT be accepted if;

1.    The product/item had been damaged by the customer, if the product being returned has passed the 7 days grace period for the inspection of the goods by the customer

2.    Returns will not be accepted by Softy Home if purchased was not made directly from Softy Home


Change Of Mind ?

Where you have had a change of mind and would like to return the product

1.    The product must be undamaged and in good condition

2.    The item is not missing any pieces/parts or accessories

3.    There will be a 10% return Handling Fee of the total basket value which you as the consumer shall be liable to pay.

4.    Customer will remain responsible to return the goods at customers cost, or an additional delivery fees will be charged to arrange collections of the products from the customer


Customer may exchange products within a period of 30days from date of purchase

1.    An item can be exchanged if the product is undamaged and unused

2.    If you would like to exchange the Item for a different one, colour or size. In this case:

3.    There will be a 10% return Handling Fee of the total basket value which you as the consumer shall be liable to pay.

4.    Customer will remain responsible to return the goods at customers cost, or an additional delivery fee will be charged to arrange collections of the products from the customer


1.    Customers have a 30 day free period for a change of mind and can apply for a refund however 10% Delivery/Collection charges will still be applicable to process the refund, unless the customer returns the goods to nearest Softy Home Distribution Centre or Store at their own cost.

2.    A refund may be requested if the item had been damaged by us or the courier / a refund may be requested if you no longer wish to have the item.

3.     A Refund Option is Valid if your product is Still Under Warranty

4.    All refunds will be processed AFTER the item has been delivered back to our warehouse and has gone through the inspection process.

5.    All refunds take 5-7 days to process

6.    If you have paid by EFT, Pay-fast or COD (Cash On Delivery ) , you will need to provide us with your banking details to proceed with the refund.



The assortment of our store product is guaranteed for 6 Months from the date of purchase, subject to normal usage conditions and adherence to the instructions for use recommended by the manufacturer. In the event that the product needs to be repaired during this guarantee period, the repair will be undertaken by our after-sales technicians providing that: the product has not been subjected to shock, immersion, etc. the problem has not been caused by inappropriate handling, fair wear and tear or failure to maintain the product (e.g. clogging); the product has not been repaired in any way by any after-sales service other than that of our store or been interfered with by any person not approved by the seller; the product has not been modified in any way from its original condition.


Products Purchased at Our Store

We guarantee the highest quality of the products purchased at our store. Our sales managers keep record of all the orders you place. If you are not satisfied with the quality of your purchase, you can turn to our warranty service, and they will settle the issue.

Products with Not Damaged Original Packing

All products bought at our store are delivered to you in the original packing. Please save it till the end of warranty period because if you decide to return the item for some reason, it should have the original packing that is not damaged in any way.

Not Damaged Products

If the products are not damaged in some or other way, they are liable to warranty. So, please, try not to drop, submerge them into liquids, tear or disassemble them. Just turn to our warranty service managers for help and they will answer all your questions as to the return and repair policy.

Products that Were Not Repaired By Third Parties

If the products you return to our store have not been repaired by the third parties, they are liable to warranty. Don’t go to the street corner repairing office that is close to your house. Talk to our warranty technicians first, they are here to help you with any problem you may face.

Products that Were Not Used Longer than their Warranty Period

You have the right to return the product within 14 days since its receipt. Contact our service center via telephone, email or online chat. You will get all necessary instructions on how to deal with the issue. We promise to handle your claim quickly and make you happy with your bargain.


Service Center in Your City

If our service center is available in your city, you may turn there for warranty repairing, refund or product replacement. Service manager will inspect the item you wish to repair/return or replace and do everything possible to settle your issue as quickly as possible.

Onsite/In-Home Service

In some cases, it is possible to invite a service manager right to your office, home or settle the issue right on site. Parts and labor repair where labor is provided onsite at your place of business or home are covered by us according to the warranty policy unless the damage is out of warrantee, a cost estimated will be provide before attending to any repair or replacement work

International Warranty Service (IWS)

Our Warrantee is only valid is only valid within south africa


Damages from wear and tear

Please note that our guarantee does not cover product damages that may have resulted from normal wear and tear of the product you have purchased from our store.

Misuse or abuse

If the product purchased at our store has visual traces of misuse or abuse, this case is also not covered by guarantee services. The store can render repairing services at your expense.

Not branded items

This warranty does not apply to any items not branded by our company even if packaged or sold with our original products. Such kind of products may have the benefit of a manufacturer’s warranty.

Expired warranty period

The warranty begins on the date of purchase on the purchase receipt. In case the purchase receipt is not provided, the warranty period is considered to have started 6 months after the date of manufacturing on the product or as derived from the serial number of the product.

Unauthorized repairing services

When the product is being repaired by unauthorized service organizations, engineers or technicians the buyer loses his/her right for free warranty service.

Expired consumables lifetime

Each consumable has its own guaranteed lifetime. When the lifecycle of consumables are expired, the warranty becomes not valid; they should be changed at the buyer’s expense.

The usage of unauthorized spares or consumables

When the product has failed due to the use of unauthorized spare parts or the consumables, the store doesn’t take any responsibility for the incident. Use only authorized spares if you want to keep your warranty valid.

Natural disaster

Natural disaster is a force majeure the seller can’t prevent. So, when the product has failed from the natural disaster, the store is not obliged to refund or repair it.

Cleaning the product

If the product failed during cleaning or removing the foreign material from its surface or inside of it, the store won’t render the buyer free warranty services as the failure happened from the buyer’s fault.


If you are not satisfied with your purchase on arrival you have fourteen (14) days starting from the delivery date to return or exchange the article. What should you do? Login to our website. Once logged inside your private area, please access the orders menu. Inside the orders list, please seek the order you want to make the return and click the button “Return items”. Select the product you want to return within the order. Select return cause within the pull-down menu. Select the type of return: money refund or change for another size or color. If the return is a size change or color change, please select the model you want to make the change from the pull-down menu that appears on the screen when selecting the option. Click the “Confirm Return” button. You started the return process! Wait for the confirmation email; it will explain your following steps.
